Join us on Dec. 4, 2025 at 6:00 PM for a very special lecture in memoriam of Kathleen Velo. It was with great sadness that we shared the news of her passing just a few weeks ago, Kathleen was integral to our creative community through her participation in PARCHED: The Art of Water in the Southwest, produced and exhibited at Coconino Center for the Arts 2020 and currently on display at SVM.
In honoring Kathleen’s memory, Ernest Taho, Indigenous activist, collaborator, and friend, will present on Water Flow: Hopi Reservation. Ernest assisted Kathleen in the gathering of water from different sources on the Hopi Reservation in support of her piece for the exhibition, Parched – The Art of Water in the Southwest. He will share stories of her process and speak to their collaboration in this thoughtful and reflective program.
